Fairlane Products, Fraser, Michigan, a North American manufacturer and supplier of clamps, fixturing accessories, machine tool components and rollers & bumpers, offers quick release pins with a variety of accessories to meet a variety of applications. The accessories include flanged receptacles, end caps, and wire-rope lanyard assemblies. Flanged receptacles, in both inch and metric sizes, provide a permanent and proper mating hole for quick release ball lock pins. They are designed for use on materials and in applications where the pin has nothing to lock against. Because the pin does not protrude out the bottom of the receptacles, they are ideal for blind-hole applications. The receptacles can be mounted with screws, rivets, or bolts. They are made from stainless steel and are available in diamond, oblong, rectangle, and round shapes. Some with threaded bodies, as well. Receptacles are used with pin diameter sizes from 3/16" to 1/2" and 5mm to 12mm. End caps fit over the end of the quick release ball lock pin and allow the pins to be used in applications where the receiving hole is not within tolerance or is out of round. The caps can replace cotter pins and hitch pins to allow the user to take advantage of quick change and fieldwork, without tools. The caps are made from stainless steel, and are available in inch and metric sizes, and come in plain end and tapped end versions. End caps are used with pin diameter sizes from 3/16" to 5/8" and 5mm to 16mm. Wire rope lanyard assemblies are used to attach quick release pins to a fixture or frame to prevent the pins from being misplaced when not in use. The wire rope lanyard assemblies made from 7 x 7 stainless steel wire and are available either uncovered (bare cable) or covered. The lanyards come in loop, loop eyelet, tear drop and rectangular ends in diameters of 1/16" and 3/64" with lengths from 6" to 12". The vinyl covered lanyards come in clear, black, or green colors. All Fairlane Products ball lock pins operate on a simple locking ball principle assuring secure and safe fastening. The positive-locking pins will not release until the button on the handle is depressed, which causes the balls to retract into the pin and allows the pin to be removed from the hole. The Quick Release Ball Lock Pins are for fastening and locating applications that require positive, secure holding yet feature the easy-to-use, tool-less removal convenience provided by ball-lock technology.
